leadership, to me, is like herding cats. nigh unto impossible. i've got ideas but couldn't sell rain to someone who had their house on fire. is there someone in the poverty blog who would be able to negotiate lower rates at the dump per car? a pickup LOAD pays $10. for maybe 4 to 10 times more than a car but the charge is the same. the CAR has to pay $40 to $100 for the same amount of space at the dump. the customer who puts the least amount into the dump pays the highest price. is there anything crazy about that picture? it is the commissioners who plant the shock price on everyone. they probably all have pickups/trucks or can afford garbage pick up. perhaps $2.00 per CAR load would be much more fair.

Public access computer means everyone can use the computer. Of course, rules will govern us to be sure everyone has opportunity to get on the computer! McKenzie County Healthcare Systems hopes that many people will come in and take advantage of the opportunity to communicate with the world through the "portal in it own front yard." Thanks for the comment. Dale

Thanks for providing me a recollection of the day.
It was truly a marvelous celebration of family, community, liberty and service--as befits our unique and most national of holidays.

Doro--
I did get kicked in the butt once: 6th grade, by the principle. Lotsa us boys were playing "king of the hill" on a big pile of snow. I won, he didn't like it. Kicked my butt all the way from the playground into his office. I nearly died of embarrassment; totally befuddled as to what I had done that was different than any other boy had done that day--except to be the winner. What was that you wrote about "ducks and eagles?"

By the way, I fixed the photo but deleted all the "similar" shots from the uploads so as to not use up our space.
